Children — Dangerfield shares a son with his wife, Mardi. They have named their son George Patrick, 2017 who is currently four years old.
On June 21, 2019, he and his wife welcomed their daughter, Felicity.

Adelaide Football Club (2008 to 2011)
Dangerfield was selected in the 2007 draft by Adelaide. He has played 154 games for the team and has netted 163 goals.
With Adelaide, he won the NAB cup in the year 2012. However, he has grabbed so many individual awards during his tenure.
Dangerfield had his finest AFL season as a Crow in 2015, averaging 26.8 disposals and one goal per game while striking 21 goals overall. He was third for inside-fifties, fifth for clearances (165), and led his club in disposals with 617, ranking him 10th in the league (114).
Geelong Football Club (2016 to present)
Dangerfield was an experienced player coming into Geelong’s squad. In 2016, he was awarded the Brownlow Medal as the league’s fairest and best player while paying for the Geelong side.
He has played 147 matches and netted 151 goals for the side. With Geelong, he won the McClelland Trophy in the year 2019.
In total, Dangerfield has appeared in 301 games. In addition, he has scored 314 career goals, which makes him a total legend of the sport.
It took 14 years and four days for the AFL star to reach the milestone. In his prolific career, he has polled 230 Brownlow medal votes and stood as a captain on 22 occasions, 11 for the Adelaide Crows and 11 for the Geelong.
He is the only AFL player to have received three votes for the Brownlow Medal in a match against every AFL team.
