Confusion surrounds Harry Kane’s potential £100m move to Bayern Munich after he was blocked from flying to Germany on Friday morning.

The England captain’s future in north London has been the centre of debate this summer, after weeks of negotiations between club chiefs.

And after agreeing a £100m fee, Mail Sport revealed that talks between Bayern, Tottenham and Kane were taking place late into Thursday as they looked to finalise a deal.

Kane’s stunning move to the Bundesliga champions looked like it was close to being finalised after he agreed to sign a four-year deal in Germany.

He was prepared to fly to Munich and complete a medical with Bayern but Spurs have now revoked his permission to travel to the Bundesliga side. However sources close to Spurs this morning insist Kane does have permission to fly.

There were hopes in Germany that Kane’s deal will be announced on Friday and that the player would be officially unveiled prior to the German Super Cup on Saturday.

Mail Sport understands that Kane would have to be registered by 2pm (UK time) to play against RB Leipzig tomorrow.

After the two parties struck a deal, Mail Sport revealed that contractual and financial points between Kane and Tottenham were still being concluded on Thursday, while issues related to the distribution of intermediary fees were also being ironed out.

Bayern have been very public in their pursuit of Kane, with honorary president Uli Hoeness and chief executive Jan-Christian Dreesen both commenting on their pursuit of the striker.

But those public comments have left Kane in an uncomfortable situation while also frustrating Tottenham in the process.

While the guaranteed part of the agreement is believed to be less than £100m – the add-ons are so achievable that Tottenham are practically certain to net a nine-figure sum.

Levy values the talismanic striker at £120m but well-placed sources indicated that offers in the region of £100m would be enough to tempt the club into selling a player available for nothing next summer.
