Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Davante Adams has given fans a worry as he ended his training session early after a collision.
The scare came in a joint practice with the San Francisco 49ers as he collided with linebacker Oren Burks in the very first play.
“First play at 49ers and Raiders team drills at practice, and Davante Adams apparently sustained a lower left leg injury and limped off after a collision with Oren Burks, who broke up a pass with Charvarius Ward in coverage,” Cam Inmam reported.
“Davante Adams sat on a cooler after being checked by medical staff, now slowly walking toward locker room, favoring right leg.”
Fears eased
The 30-year-old wide receiver appeared to be in pain, but it seems that it was a precautionary measure to take him out of the session.
The Raiders will need him if they are to improve on their 6-11 record from last season and fans are understandably anxious.
Adams‘ performance in 2022 was not as good as it had been in previous years, but he remains a key player for the Raiders.
