As part of the New York Jets‘ preseason activities, the team brought in Oz Pearlman, known as “Oz the Mentalist,” to provide entertainment and engage the players.
The impact of Pearlman‘s presentation was clearly substantial, leaving a lasting impression on both the players and coaching staff, including quarterback Aaron Rodgers, who became involved in one of Pearlman’s tricks.

As shown in the second episode of “Hard Knocks“, Pearlman aimed to determine which card, presumably from a standard deck of 52, Rodgers was thinking of.
Utilizing mental cues, Pearlman astutely deduced that the 39-year-old quarterback had the diamond suit in mind.
Rodgers confirmed this, and Pearlman further accurately identified the specific card as the three of diamonds.
However, the most remarkable aspect of the performance was when Pearlman earlier asked safeties coach Marquand Manuel to think of an animal. Manuel chose a goldfish.
Subsequently, Pearlman directed Rodgers, who had firmly held onto the deck of cards, to release his grip. To everyone’s astonishment, the deck of cards had transformed into a goldfish.
This twist provoked an enthusiastic response from the Jets present in the room. Meanwhile, Rodgers remained in his seat, visibly stunned by the remarkable spectacle he had just witnessed.
Rodgers enjoys a bit of fun
Aaron Rodgers is no stranger to a bit of fun since he joined the New York Jets.
Rodgers was not in action for the recent pre-season game against the Carolina Panthers, so the CBS cameras naturally panned to him at one point during the game.
He was in close conversation with coach Hackett when the camera panned over and he then decided to give Hackett a quick nipple pinch, just like children on a playground.
