Alex Morgan and Megan Rapinoe were among the first players to react to RFEF president Luis Rubiales’ kiss on Jenni Hermoso.

They were also quick to respond when the statement signed by 81 Spanish players was shared, stating that they will not return to the national team if there are no consequences.

Not surprisingly, they organized their teams to publicly show their support for the Spanish players.

Before the match between Alex Morgan’s San Diego Wave and Orlando Pride, the members of both teams came out wearing a bracelet (made with tape) on which they wrote ‘contigo Jenni’ (with you Jenni).

Women’s soccer unites

Hundreds of players from all over the world have not hesitated to show their support, at least through social networks, for the Spanish players.

From current players, even those who were their rivals in the World Cup, such as England, to retired players like Mia Hamm.

On the other hand, few male players have spoken out about it.

The only one who has taken exemplary action is Spain’s Borja Iglesias, who has joined the protest of his female teammates and will not return to the national team until things change.

Others have expressed their disagreement with the federation, albeit indirectly.
