Canelo Alvarez‘s popularity has been on display in Las Vegas for the fight against Jermell Charlo this Saturday.
Noting the support Canelo Alvarez enjoyed at the weigh-in ceremony, the challenger said he enjoyed it and that it was time for the lion to come out.
“We are ready, it’s time to fight. It’s time to step in the ring, we know it’s time for the lion to come out. No matter how much they cheer for him… right now I’m bad, I’m a son of a f—,” Charlo declared.
The nicknamed Iron Man has a record of 35-1-1 with 19 knockouts and is WBA, WBC, WBO, WBO and IBF Super Welterweight champion.
This will be Jermell Charlo‘s first fight in almost a year and a half, as his last fight was on May 14, 2022 against Brian Castano, a 10th round win.
