Officers are searching for a man after staff at a Sheffield supermarket were attacked by a shoplifter.

On January 22 at 7.25pm, a man entered Heron Foods on Gleadless Road before assaulting two members of staff after they challenged him for attempting to leave the store without paying for his items.

Officers have now released a CCTV image of a man who they would like to speak to in connection with the assault and attempted theft.
