Conor McGregor‘s (22-6) pleas to fight again in the UFC are now a regular occurrence. Heading hopelessly to three years of standstill after the terrible knockout by Dustin Poirier in his trilogy, the Irishman does not fight.

He has only complained and told of his problems, and even one of his enemies defends him. Maybe they will fight again. Who knows?

Nathan ‘Nate’ Diaz (21-13) is one of the most charismatic fighters ever.

His feuds with McGregor went beyond the ring and they came to fight on two occasions with battles full of ‘bad blood’. Diaz won the first one (March 2016) by submitting the Irishman, and the double champion handed it back to him in the rematch (August 2016) by majority decision. They were fights for the history books in which Conor would go up to win.

Their duels remained ‘1-1’ and each took different paths. McGregor is now sidelined and doesn’t hesitate to comment on his troubles. “I wanted a date in December, then January, then they changed me…. I lost interest, I stopped training for a while. It doesn’t usually happen to me, I always train. But I stopped full time and went back to drinking,” explained the Irishman.

He wants to see the light at the end of that tunnel

“So I’ll go back. I’ll be focused. I’ll be controlled and I’ll be ready. The date will come and I’ll be ready,” he acknowledged.

To those comments, Diaz showed his support.

“That was me before Conor. They want you to die before you finish your contracts. It’s up to you. No one will help you but yourself. Free Conor,” he said.

And McGregor replied.

“Hahaha, bro. Iconic rivalry must be resolved,” he said. How could it not, a trilogy.

That third chapter of an iconic feuds. Brothers and foes in the UFC.

McGregor and Diaz, together until the end.
