Tiger Woods had a solid first day at The Masters. The 48-year-old started strong, notching a birdie on the first hole. But on the second hole, Woods found himself in an unenviable position.

Tiger Woods left-handed shot at the Masters gets him out of a difficult situation

With the ball sitting right next to a tree, Woods was left with no chance to hit it out like he normally would. So he decided to take the shot from a lefty stance with his club inverted.

Somehow someway, Woods stroked the ball back into the fairway and ended up saving par on the hole. Woods was even through 16 holes before finishing the day one-over-par (+1).

Tiger Woods’ second day scorecard at The Masters

A day after his ingenious shot, Woods held steady in the second round. An early birdie saw him pull back to even, but it didn’t last long and he finished the day still at one-over-par through two days.

His performance, which has helped him limit errors through two rounds, saw Woods make the cut for the 24th consecutive time at The Masters, which is a record.

He currently sits at 22nd on the leaderboard.
