On April 27, Holland took to Instagram. He posted a close-up of Zendaya’s face from the movie poster. The film is a tennis-themed R-rated flick. Holland’s caption was simple yet enthusiastic, “I know what I’m doing this weekend!”
The 27-year-old actor didn’t stop there. He also shared a teaser video for the movie on his Instagram Stories. His caption was equally excited, “Challengers is out now! Lets goooo! @zendaya.”
Holland has been publicly cheering on Zendaya for a while now. He had previously praised her for her latest role in February. He posted the film’s trailer on his Instagram Stories. His caption was a warning of sorts, “You ain’t ready for this one!”
In “Challengers,” Zendaya, also 27, plays an interesting role. She’s a former tennis prodigy turned coach. She finds herself in a love triangle with her tennis player husband, played by Mike Faist. The twist? Her former lover is also her husband’s childhood best friend, played by Josh O’Connor. Now, that’s a plot!
