Our Yorkshire Farm’s Reuben Owen is set to leave the UK with his girlfriend. The 18 year old star of Channel 5 series, Reuben Owen: Life In The Dales, has shared insights into what he learned from his parents Amanda and Clive Owen as he prepares for his departure with his 17 year old girlfriend Sarah Dow.

Reuben emerged as a breakout star following the cancellation of his family’s show, Our Yorkshire Farm, in the wake of his parents’ divorce. His new programme chronicles his adventures running a digger business in the Yorkshire Dales, alongside his girlfriend Sarah and friend Tommy, reports the Express.

The group was seen gearing up to leave the UK on Thursday night. This follows Reuben’s disclosure about how growing up on his parents’ Ravenseat farm equipped him with skills that have been instrumental in his current business venture. He admitted: “It’s been hard starting my own business, I’ve been incredibly skint a lot of times.”

He added, “It’s not a walk in the park and it still isn’t a walk in the park. But I love doing it. When I was little, we always had to work fairly hard. Dad [Clive Owen] and mum [Amanda Owen] always expected you to do plenty of work.”

“I did all the repairs on the farm and I think whatever you learn when you’re younger, stays with you the rest of your life.” Reuben is now eagerly anticipating a trip to France with Sarah and Tommy, marking his first time leaving the UK.

Reuben was sighted perusing a French guidebook as he and Sarah were collecting supplies in a sneak peek for next Thursday’s episode. Our Yorkshire Farm viewers are thoroughly enjoying the programme thus far.
