Mahomes fondly remembers David Tyree’s “Helmet Catch”

When he was prompted to pick a greatest moment in NFL history, Mahomes’ mind bypassed the suggestions and went straight for the New York Giants‘ epic Super Bowl XLII victory over the New England Patriots.

That Giants team came into the NFL Playoffs as a Wild Card team, while the Patriots hadn’t lost a single game leading up to the Super Bowl. David Tyree’s unprecedented “Helmet Catch” sprung New York to victory and went down in history as one of the greatest plays ever.

Mahomes believes nothing compares to that moment, although he does concede that Tom Brady‘s incredible 28-3 comeback against the Atlanta Falcons has to be in consideration as well.
