Stormy weather has been flooding huge swathes of Yorkshire.

West Yorkshire and North Yorkshire has been hit with the brutal weather this afternoon, while a yellow weather warning is in place. Thunder and lightning rages on with major roads affected.

Traffic is being held on a major motorway in Bradford after flooding on the road. The M606 has seen all traffic temporarily held with traffic now stationary due to the flooding. This has taken place on the M606 northbound.

Traffic is being held at junction three, at the A6177 Rooley Lane, Staygate Roundabout. Hall Ings is closed in both directions due to flooding from Chapel Street to Drake Street. Other roads are also flooded. The Broadway shopping centre car park was also closed for a short period, trapping in shoppers.
