Police hunting a thief who broke into a Yorkshire military base have released CCTV footage of a men they want to speak to.

The theft happened at Catterick Garrison, a military village near Richmond, North Yorkshire. It happened at approximately 7.05pm on Thursday, March 28, in Hipswell Road.

Initial enquiries have led to CCTV footage which shows two men in the vicinity at around the same time as the theft, including this picture of a man on a roof. North Yorkshire Police are appealing for information from anyone who saw a man wearing a distinctive black hooded jumper with white writing on the sleeves.

The force said: “We’d like to speak to the person pictured by CCTV as they may have information that could help our investigation. We would also like to hear from anyone who has been offered a HIKvision Bullet CCTV camera.”
