Train services are being disrupted this morning around Doncaster after a person was hit by a train.

Train operator LNER issued a travel warning of disruption, with trains either cancelled, diverted or delayed. LNER runs trains that call in at York, Doncaster, Grantham and onto London King’s Cross.

LNER said: “A person has been hit by a train between Doncaster and Newark North Gate. The emergency services carry out their work, all lines between these stations are closed. Trains may be cancelled, diverted or delayed by up to 60 minutes until approximately 9am.”

Users of Hull Trains who are travelling to or from Retford “will be provided with rail replacement road transport,” LNER said.
