Marsden residents were left frustrated and lacking sleep after a suspect late night rave.
Many people took to social media on Saturday night and Sunday evening to complain. It is thought loud music could be heard across the Colne Valley for many hours – it is believed the music was coming from the moors over Marsden.
In Facebook group, Marsden – A Place For Local People, we saw Matthew Keane ask: “Anyone else been kept up all night by music blasting across the valley? It is like Ayia Napa out there. I don’t mind so much at 1am but it is 6.30am now.”

Many neighbours were quick to jump on the post and express their similar frustrations. Nic Jones posted: “I am a live and let live person. But the law states, after 11pm, you can involve the police. Not only is it highly disrespectful for all of us neighbours but babies and the elderly should not be subjected to this.”
Em Cavanagh added: “I woke up thinking it was the jump sound from Jumanji.”
Emily Thompson said: “A late night party is fair enough but an all-night rave is taking the p**s. I could hear it all night. I’m out now with the dog (on Sunday morning) and can hear it up on the hill.”
