Gypsy Rose Blanchard became a free woman in December 2023 after serving seven years behind bars for conspiring to kill her mother.

She suffered years of abuse at the hands of late mom Dee Dee Blanchard, who likely had Munchausen syndrome by proxy, a mental illness that causes caretakers to fake symptoms to make it appear a child is sick. Dee Dee put her daughter through a series of unnecessary medical treatments, including removal of her salivary glands and several other surgeries. The abuse only ended when Gypsy conspired to kill her mother with her then-boyfriend, Nicholas Godejohn.

Upon her release, Gypsy returned and soon began posting selfies, showing fans how much she’s changed since people first became aware of her case, including undergoing a rhinoplasty. While Gypsy went for a different look with blonde hair, it didn’t last, and she soon went back to her natural brown.
