Man dies from apparent shark bite on North Shore

Honolulu police and first responders are investigating after a man was found dead with injuries this afternoon on the North Shore.

According to Honolulu Emergency Medical Services, the man was pronounced dead at the scene and suffered injuries from an apparent shark bite. He was brought in by lifeguards from Goat Island near Laie.

The man’s identity was not immediately released.
