A Sheffield man has been charged with attempted murder after a 21-year-old was stabbed multiple times in the Darnall area of the city earlier this week.

Adam Mohammed, 28, of Acres Hill Road, Darnall, appeared before Sheffield Magistrates’ Court on Friday after being charged with attempted murder.

South Yorkshire Police said they were called to reports of a group of men fighting on Staniforth Road in Darnall area of Sheffield just after 6pm on Tuesday, April 9.

A 21-year-old was found at the scene with multiple stab wounds. He was taken to hospital and remains there in a serious but stable condition.

Mohammed was arrested by officers on Wednesday , April 10. Following his appearance in court today, he has been remanded in custody and is next due to appear before Sheffield Crown Court on May 10.
