To play for England really was a boyhood dream come true. At 13, I’d travelled from Suffolk to Wembley to watch the World Cup final. We could only get one ticket so my mum let me go in on my own while she watched the game through the window of a TV rental shop!
Given that history, you can imagine the feeling when I got the call-up by Don Revie in 1977 and went on as a substitute against Northern Ireland in Belfast. I even managed to set up the winner for Dennis Tueart.
It was the classic white England shirt made by Admiral. There was no chance of me swapping it with anyone.
I was later fortunate enough to win the FA Cup with Ipswich and Arsenal. But those Three Lions are particularly special.

The midfielder won the FA Cup in successive season with Ipswich and Arsenal in 1978 and 1979, before losing in the 1980 final with the Gunners
