Chelsea‘s home kit for the 2024-25 season has been leaked online but its striking design has left fans frustrated.

Footy Headlines has leaked the kit which combines the traditional blue and white with a reddish-orange on the neckline, down the sides and around the badge.

Perhaps the most striking difference is the wavy design across the shirt in the effect of an ocean wave.

Upon its reveal, Chelsea fans have taken to social media and have voiced their opinions – in particular over the wavy design and the red features on the shirt.

There were a number of comparisons made to toothpaste, with one writing ‘Colgate FC’ and another person tweeting ‘the toothpaste special’.

Another X user commented: ‘Looks like spilled paint. Nike why us?’

There were also comparisons to another Premier League team with one writing: ‘Please lets continue using this current home jersey, are we getting that bad that our home jersey looks like Crystal Palace.’

One Chelsea fan tweeted: ‘Take out that red rubbish on the neck,’ while somebody else posted: ‘With the wavy background 1/10. With a solid Blue background 8/10.’

@_lastpick wrote: ‘We were blessed with years of bangers from Adidas and now all we get is mids.’

Another social media user tweeted: ‘Just send us to the Championship now.’

Comments weren’t all negative however, with one person writing: ‘Obviously this is not final but you know what, I’m actually liking this. The design is new and daring.’

@TheChelseaForum commented: ‘What I’ve noticed about these leaked kits is they never look as bad when the real one is released.’

The west London club agreed a new front-of-shirt sponsorship deal with Infinite Athlete earlier this season, with the US data company set to remain on the front of kits for the rest of the season.

Chelsea also recently agreed a new sponsorship deal with crypto firm BingX, who will become their sleeve sponsor for the rest of the season.

The deal will then see BingX appear on the front of the Premier League club’s training kits from the 2024-25 season onwards in what is being described as a multi-year deal.

It remains to be seen who will be Chelsea’s shirt and sleeve sponsors from next season while it is also unconfirmed who will take the sleeve sponsorship slot on the club’s kit from the 2024-25 campaign.
