ASOS Black Friday sale : 10 best pieces to shop OLD

T

his year has signalled a collective embrace of a sloth-like existence.

After eleven months of almost consistent bouts of chaos, we have managed to stop flirting with normal, everyday ‘hard’ clothes and instead to dive headfirst into an amorous relationship with ‘soft’ clothes, most notably comfort-first loungewear.

And thank goodness we have finally allowed our comfort to dictate our consumption. Gone are the days of sucking in your tummy in your two-sizes-too-small jeans, or pinching your waist into your cut-price dress and in their place have come swaddling.

But if you’re anything like me, as we hurtle towards the end of this *unprecedented* year, you may be beginning to feel the itch to venture outside of the realm of elasticated waistbands and wireless bras.

May I then introduce you to the ASOS Black Friday sale, which has up 70 per cent off an arsenal of undeniably cute pieces.

I’m talking our new favourite stretchy sweats, some on-trend party pieces, and a few additional cute pieces just for the hell of it. This is a Black Friday extravaganza too good to miss.

You’ve finished The Crown, now what? Inject some BDE (Big Diana Energy) into your daily ensembles with a detachable collar. This jumper comes with one; it’s a party with and without the poplin collar.

Make this pair of stomper boots your go-to for your winter walks this year. Championed by the street style set, simply pair with your knitted co-ords and your nineties straight-leg jeans. Et voila!

There’s nothing snugglier than a knitted two-piece and this caramel-hued offering is one of the best I’ve seen. Wear the jumper with jeans or wide-leg trousers for another occasion, or the trousers with a cotton poplin shirt if you’re in the market to mix it up.

I’ve been a fan of mini bags forever, such is my allegiance to all things noughties, but there’s a definite shape for this renaissance-themed iteration in my arsenal of bags.

You can’t go wrong with a classic pair of camel trousers, something ASOS knows all too well. These stellar straight-legged trews are sold as a set with the co-ordinating blazer,  which is slightly oversized and ticks this season’s ‘Dad vibes’ box.

Really, really good jeans at a really, really good price – need we say more?

( ASOS )

There’s nothing we need more as we end this year than a plethora of cute knits, because frankly you can never have too many. We’ll be wearing this with the jeans and stomper boots above for a winter-baby esque look.

I’ve really leaned into loungewear this year (surprise!) and have found that wide-leg tracksuit bottoms lend themselves effortlessly to slightly smarter looks as and when they time comes for them. I wear mine with a fitted jumper for optimal style points.

The virtues of a duvet coat have been extolled for a while now and this cropped and belted brown puffer is a fabulous entree to the world of all things puffy and padded.

( ASOS )

I love these vinyl straight-leg jeans and will be wearing mine with my stomper boots (shock) and my posh puffer, as mentioned above! Talk about building a capsule wardrobe.
