Bayern Munich chief Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has confirmed the German champions are plotting to rival Manchester United, Real Madrid and Chelsea for RB Leipzig defender Dayot Upamecano.
The 22-year-old is considered to be one of the most in-demand young players in Europe having seen his stock rise under Julian Nagelsmann at Leipzig.
With David Alaba set to leave Bayern in the summer on a free transfer Rummenigge revealed Bayern plan to ‘deal with it’ when asked if they would move for Upamecano as a replacement.

Upamecano signed a new Leipzig deal through until 2022 last year but is expected to move on at the end of the 2020-21 season given he has a well-documented release clause written in.
‘We will of course deal with it, not only with this player, but in principle,’ Rummenigge said on Bild Live, ‘on the positions where we want to do and have to do something.’
He added: ‘In the time of Corona, the money situation is also an important factor.’
