Ryan Garcia‘s social media behavior in the lead up to his April 20th fight against Devin Haney has been all over the place, from hardcore training to battling ghosts to controversial topics beyond the ring.

But in his latest sparring video, KingRy left no doubt about how seriously he is taking the Haney fight. He ended an intense sparring session by turning to the camera and sending an unmistakable warning to his opponent.

“Some sparring,” Ryan captioned the video on Twitter/X.

“Ryan is looking aggravated,” one fan wrote in the replies.

“What if Ryan been trolling the whole time nd he’s really been locked in?” another comment said.

Indeed, his words to the camera at the end of the video seemed to be a reminder of how serious Garcia is taking the fight, despite the distractions circling him constantly.

Can somebody warn Devin Haney it’s not gonna be fun,” he said.

Garcia and Haney go back over a decade

With the Super Lightweight title fight at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York now just one month away, Garcia posted a throwback of he and Haney to build the hype for the fight he is calling “Game 7.”

A grainy photo from 2014 shows scrawny, teenage versions of “The Dream” and “King Ryan” posing together in uniform. The next slide jumps forward 10 years to 2024, when they faced off last month.
