We all know what they say about men with big hands and feet.
It’s commonly believed you can tell how big a man’s penis is by looking at what size shoes and gloves they wear.
However, a surgeon has revealed that a different body part could actually be a sign of a well-endowed man.

Men with biggest noses have a penis 1.2inches (29%) longer than those with the smallest sniffers. For people with noses which fall into the middle range, the average penis size is 4.5 inches. In Japan, the average penis size is 4.5 inches, according to previous research
Dr Malik specifically pointed to a study in Japanese men, which measured ‘all these body parts and penile, and they found was that nose length was correlated with penile length, not hand length or foot.’
The researchers looked at the corpses of 126 middle-aged men within three days of their death.
The team documented the men’s height, weight, flaccid penile length, penile circumference, right and left testicular weights, and weight of their prostate.
They also laid each cadaver down and pulled the penis vertically as far as it could go to measure stretched penile length (to simulate an erection).
Nose length was recorded by measuring the distance from between a person’s eyes to where the nostril starts.
They found men with noses smaller than 1.8 inches had a penis size of up to 4.1 inches.
However, for people with a nose that was over 2.2 inches long, their penises were larger, measuring 5.3 inches long (29 percent bigger).
For people with noses which fall into the middle of this range, the average penis size was 4.5 inches, which is the average size of an erect penis in Japan, according to previous research.
The team did not specify what could be behind the link.

Another South Korean study backed up the Japanese team’s findings.
Researchers recruited 1,160 men in their thirties and measured their nose size compared to their non-erect penis.
The study, published in the journal Translational Andrology and Urology, found that while men with bigger feet had a wider penis circumference, their manhood tended to be bigger if they had larger noses.
Researcher Dr Sungwoo Hong said: ‘Nose size is an important indicator of penile size.’
‘Several studies have suggested hormone exposure in the prenatal period affects the growth of reproductive organs.’
Dr Malik also said that most people think penises should be bigger than they actually are. She noted that while the average is about 5.1 to 5.3 inches while erect, most men think it should be closer to six inches.
Women, on the other hand, have a different perspective. Dr Malik said that to find what a woman wants most, researchers looked at the most common dildo sizes women were purchasing.
They found that women tended to opt for about the same length and girth as an average penis.
However, a study of female college students at Texas A&M University found that most women thought bigger was better.
The researchers said: ‘Penises which were wider, longer, and moderately hairy were perceived more positively in terms of personality and sexual appeal.’
This included them being seen as more attractive, with their targets being ‘good in bed’ and ‘pleasers.’
However, shorter and narrower penises were seen as less sexually attractive, with their targets being ‘pillow princesses’ and worse in bed.
Dr Malik also said that she’s seen an uptick in men worried about their penis size.
She recommended those wanting to increase their girth try a traction device, which stretches out the penis for a few minutes a day. Dr Malik estimated that these can add an extra two centimeters.
However, don’t reach for a penis pump, a vacuum tube that draws blood into the penis to create an erection.
Dr Malik noted that these are best used to treat erectile dysfunction and have not been shown to have an impact on penile length.
