Celine Dion can’t imagine what life would be like without her three sons. The “My Heart Will Go On” songstress is dedicated to her legendary music career, but nothing fills Celine with joy like being around her beloved kids, René-Charles, Nelson and Eddy.

The Canadian singer shares her boys with her late husband, René Angélil, whom she married in 1994. The couple welcomed their eldest son, René-Charles, in January 2001, followed by the births of their twins, Nelson and Eddy, nearly 10 years later in October 2010.

Now that it’s been two decades since Celine became a mom, the Grammy Award winner has perfected her role. Even though she’s endured her fair share of struggles, including the death of her husband in January 2016 and battling stiff person syndrome, Celine has continued to the best mom to her boys.

Celine’s eldest son, René-Charles, was born on January 25, 2001. René-Charles started making a name for himself at the young age of 18 when he made his music debut in 2018. At the time, he released two songs on SoundCloud by his rapper name Big Tip.

When René-Charles released his music, though, he didn’t tell his mom about the songs until they reached No. 1 and No. 2 on the SoundCloud Canadian R&B charts. While talking with the Montreal Gazette, the aspiring musician revealed how Celine reacted to his tunes.

“She loved it. She was just kind of stunned at first, because she’d never heard anything from me,” he gushed. “It was kind of a weird conversation: ‘Ma, I’m No. 1 and No. 2 on the charts right now.’ She was like: ‘Why didn’t you tell me first?’ But she’s very supportive of my passion for this.”

In December 2020, René-Charles hinted this wouldn’t be the last fans would hear from him. “New music on the way,” he wrote via social media. The following month in January, he released his “first-ever project,” a mini-album titled CasiNo.5. The artist announced the news on Instagram and revealed his music was “now available on Apple Music.”

Celine proved how proud she was of her oldest boy when she paid tribute to his latest birthday. “20 years ago, I had the privilege to hear the word mom for the very first time … my dream came true, and you changed our lives forever!” she sweetly wrote on Instagram. “Go out there and embrace life, and remember to never stop believing in yourself, because I believe in you.”

In February 2024, René joined Celine at the 2024 Grammy Awards to present the award for Album of the Year. Taylor Swift ended up taking home the honor. He snapped photos backstage with his mom and Taylor after the TV moment. A few months later in June 2024, he attended the NYC premiere of I Am: Celine Dion with his mom, the documentary giving fans an inside look at Celine’s battle with stiff person syndrome. During her speech at the event, Celine thanked her kids for their “daily love and support.”

Eddy Angélil

Eddy is one of Celine and René’s twins, who was born on October 23, 2010. Unlike his other brother, Eddy has yet to make his debut in showbiz, but the growing youngster is talented in other ways.

According to reports, Eddy was named after Eddy Marnay, the late French songwriter. Eddy is also bilingual, as he is fluent in both French and English.

Eddy often makes appearances on his mom’s Instagram, so it isn’t too rare to catch a glimpse inside their life. For his latest birthday in October 2020, Celine uploaded the cutest pics alongside a loving tribute.

“Nelson and Eddy, you have been bringing so much joy, love and laughter into our lives every single day for the past 10 years,” the doting mama penned. “You make me, your big brother and your Dad, who is for sure watching over you, so very proud. Happy birthday, my beautiful boys! We love you so very much.”

Nelson Angélil

Like his twin brother, Nelson was born on October 23, 2010. He’s also fluent in both French and English, and his name was inspired by late political leader Nelson Mandela.

Considering Celine loves gushing over her little men on social media, fans have been able to stay up to date on Nelson’s milestones. In October 2020, the Golden Globe winner shared a photo while commemorating Spirit Day. “Today, we’re going purple in solidarity with @glaad #SpiritDay!” she wrote next to the pic with her twins. “I encourage all of you to join us and take a stand against anti-LGBTQ bullying.”

Nelson also smiled alongside his mom and brothers while celebrating Christmas in December 2020. “May this holiday season bring all of you the gifts of love, peace, good health and the promise of brighter days in the New Year ahead!” Celine captioned the post.
