Paulina Char
Born on 21st July 1995 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, USA, Paulina Char is perhaps best known for being the younger sister of actress and singer Sofia Carson. However, the blonde has had an amazing career in her own right too, and currently works in the beauty industry as the executive of Tower 28 Beauty. Paulina’s career scope includes contributing to the development of the company’s make-up lines, and according to the Floridian, her passion for all things beauty is nothing new.
‘I was always that little girl in my mom’s bathroom going through all her creams and make-up,’ Paulina told HOLA magazine in July 2021. ‘It’s truly always been a part of me.’

Career
Paulina loves both the creative and business aspects of her job, and has said that for her, one of the most exciting aspects is bringing an idea to life from start to finish. One of her proudest career moments was walking into a Sephora store and seeing Tower 28’s products doing so well. Although Paulina has no intention of quitting her job anytime soon, if she didn’t work in the beauty industry, she would consider pursuing a real estate career. Becoming a business owner is also one of her personal goals.
The bond between Paulina and Sofia is certainly touching, as they never fail to support each other in their endeavors. ‘Her work ethic and dedication is admirable,’ as Paulina previously described the actress. Although the two sisters are very different – Paulina prefers to be behind the scenes, whereas Sofia’s job is front and center – they have more in common than one may think, as they are both self-confessed workaholics, who strive for perfection.
When asked about her favorite moment with Sofia, Paulina didn’t hesitate to recall the time they found out that Sofia had landed an important acting role, or when they saw Tower 28’s products in Sephora for the first time. Finding a healthy work-life balance is something that Paulina admittedly struggles with, so in that aspect, her family members help keep her well-grounded.
Personal Life
Regarding Paulina’s hobbies and personal life, the beauty executive is very much single, but has always dreamed of walking down the aisle, and having children. A quick look at her social media reveals her love for fashion, travelling, and animals, as she often shares photos with her pet dogs as well as with her friends and family.
Back in 2019, Paulina was rumored to have hooked up with now-deceased actor Cameron Boyce. The duo met when they were working together on a project, but it’s highly unlikely that anything happened between the actor and Paulina, as they were introduced to each other when Cameron was underage – in fact, the beauty mogul was one of the first people to give the “Descendants” star a birthday shoutout when he reached adulthood.
Previously, Paulina was linked to Steven Isaac Cohen, a business owner based in Miami, the founder of Salty Pun, an e-commerce company that sells apparel geared towards millennials.
Sofia Carson
The singer and actress Sofia Carson was born on 10th April 1993 in Florida. Her parents, Laura Char Carson and José Daccarett, moved to Florida from Colombia. Lauraine Carson, Sofia’s maternal grandmother, was the inspiration behind the starlet’s stage name.
After matriculating from St. Hugh School and the Carrollton School of the Sacred Heart in Miami, Sofia was part of the IMPAC Youth Ensemble program at the In Motion Dance Studio and competed across the states. She then pursued a communications degree, with a minor in French, at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA).
The singer’s sound leans towards pop, as she previously cited vocal influences such as Taylor Swift, Ed Sheeran, and The Beatles. In summer 2015, the brunette shared that she was working on her first album; less than a year later, Republic Records and Hollywood Records revealed that they’d both signed a joint worldwide record deal with Sofia; her debut single, “Love Is the Name”, was released in April 2016.
Although Sofia is better known for her acting than her musical career, she’s performed at a number of high-profile events, such as the 2016 Radio Disney Music Awards, NBC’s Thanksgiving Parade, and the annual A Capital Fourth concert, which celebrates Independence Day. She’s also contributed music to the soundtracks of the first three “Descendants” movies, then after years of singles releases, Sofia’s highly-anticipated debut studio album came out in March 2022.

In 2015, it was revealed that Sofia had landed a co-leading role in “Adventures in Babysitting”, which premiered on TV in early 2016. She was then cast as the lead in “A Cinderella Story: If the Shoe Fits”, which went direct-to-video. Since then, she has reprised her role as Evie in the “Descendants” sequels, starred in “Pretty Little Liars: The Perfectionists”, and explored other genres with movies such as “Songbird” and “Purple Hearts”.
Outside of music and acting, Sofia is known for her lucrative endorsements. In January 2020, she became the new global ambassador of beauty brand Revlon, and released a lipstick and nail polish collection with the make-up company. The “Descendants” star is also a keen philanthropist. In August 2019, Sofia was named the first Global Ambassador of the Latin Grammy Cultural Foundation, a role which sees her promote the foundation’s mission and educational programs.
More recently, Sofia was named a UNICEF Ambassador, and announced her Sofia Carson Scholarship in collaboration with the Latin Grammy Cultural Foundation. The actress’s scholarship is a coveted one, as the lucky recipient will receive a paid-for bachelor’s degree at Berklee College of Music.
Regarding Sofia’s love life, the actress was previously rumored to be dating Sofia Vergara’s son Manolo. In 2022, she was reported to have broken up with longtime boyfriend Nicholas Galitzine; since then, she is said to be focusing on her career, just maybe keeping her romantic relationship quiet!
