$22 Million Lawsuit
In April 2022, 11 teenage creators filed a lawsuit against Piper’s mother Tiffany Smith. The lawsuit alleged Tiffany intentionally inflicted emotional distress, harassed, molested and abused them, according to the complaint.
The 11 teenage plaintiffs sued seeking $22 million in damages, $2 million per person. The plaintiffs are all former members of the “Piper Squad,” whose collective antics were broadcast to the channel’s 10 million subscribers. The lawsuit also named Tiffany’s boyrfriend Hunter Hill since he was apparently the director and editor of Piper’s YouTube channel.
