Greg Rutherford got in at 6:30am on Monday morning, after pulling an all-nighter with his Soccer Aid team on Sunday following the boozy celebrations.

The retired athlete, 37, was secretly filmed by his wife Susie as he was fast asleep on his sofa, despite promising he would help his children get ready for school.

But after a heavy night partying with his teammates, Greg hit the pillow and was out for the count in seconds.

Greg’s wife posted a picture of Greg alongside a poll, asking fans what time they think he got in the door.

She wrote: ‘What time did @gregrutherford get in fron @socceraid? He got in as I was getting up.’

In another post, she shared Greg said “I’ll stay awake to help the kids ready for school”, but filmed him sleeping on the sofa.

Meanwhile, Tommy Fury had Soccer Aid viewers that he had ‘never watched football’ when he took part in the charity match on Sunday.

The former Love Island star, 25, threw the ball underarm after coming in as a sub part way through the game.

He started off by holding the ball above his head as he worked out where to throw it at the Stamford Bridge match.

But the younger brother of boxer Tyson Fury then, in a sudden movement, decided to  hold the ball below his waist and roll it in.

One fan wrote: ‘Look at the state of this throw in from Tommy Fury!’ 

Following the fish out of water performance, fans questioned just how much experience Fury had prior to the match.

One fan wrote: ‘Tommy fury has just actually done an underarm throw in. absolutely mad that he doesn’t no the rules of football.’

Notable celebrities featured included Paddy McGuinness, Maisie Adams, Lee Mack and Jason Manford.

Last year’s game which was hosted at Manchester United’s home stadium of Old Trafford, was the the most successful game on record, raising a record-breaking £14.6million. 

Robbie – who has appeared in four Soccer Aid matches himself – has co-managed the England side in their quest for victory against the opposition World XI.
