Channel 10 has teased a new “villain” intruder is headed for the I’m A Celebrity camp, but the network has accidentally given away who it is.
There’s an intruder headed into the jungle on I’m A Celebrity … Get Me Out Of Here, but Channel 10 has accidentally given away who it is.
The network teased a new celebrity headed for camp ahead of Wednesday night’s episode, but it didn’t take viewers long to guess the “reality TV villain” from the promo video.
Former Married At First Sight bride Davina Rankin, who was involved in the Channel 9 dating show’s first husband-swapping scandal back in 2018, is clearly visible in the marketing shots.
If half her face wasn’t a dead giveaway, then it was her distinctly large arm tattoo which made it increasingly obvious.
“I think a lot of people remember me as the villain. I guess every show needs its villain,” the intruder is heard saying.
“I was the most trolled person in Australia. It was a tough time, but, I mean, it has made me very resilient.
“If I can get through that, I think I can get through almost anything. I am truly ready for it.”
Rankin, 29, who is now a mother-of-one, shot to reality TV infamy when she was engaged in an affair with fellow MAFS star Dean Wells, which played out on national television.
The duo were both “married” to different people on the show, and their swapping scandal became a first for the series.
And we could be in for some more drama when she enters the northern NSW camp, as she appears to have previously been extra friendly with fellow campmate David ‘The David’ Subritzky, who is on the show posing as a fake influencer to fool the real celebrities.
The pair appeared in a series of flirty posts together back in 2018, including one where they appear to be kissing which Subritzky captioned, “me & my mrs”.
However, their union appears to have been brief and was likely posted in good humour.
Rankin is now happily engaged to the father of her two-year-old daughter, Jaxon Manuel.
