The 29-year-old singer jovially introduced the 21-year-old to the stage before performing a duet of Dolly Parton‘s Jolene.
For the performance, Miley slipped into a glitzy silver fringed jumpsuit with a plunging neckline and silky collar.

The network also promised more surprise guests will appear on the show, which will air live from Miami from 10.30pm.
News of the A-list special was announced last month.
Jen Neal, the executive vice president of live events, specials and E! News at NBCUniversal, said in a statement: ‘In what is sure to be an exciting and fun evening, we are looking forward to partnering with Lorne Michaels and ringing in 2022 with a night of incredible entertainment, led by Miley and Pete.’
The TV special was directed by Joe DeMaio and Hopetown Entertainment – Miley and her mom Tish’s production company – will produce the project. Saturday Night Live creator Lorne Michaels is the executive producer.
