Many would likely agree with Eva Mendes‘ sentiment that Emily Blunt really is “just that damn good” in The Fall Guy.

The actress and businesswoman took to Instagram on Thursday to praise husband Ryan Gosling‘s latest film. She shared the movie’s poster, which features Blunt and Gosling kissing, as well as some fans’ tweets about the action-packed romantic comedy.

“Did you know?! @thefallguymovie is the FIRST non super hero movie to open the summer box office in 17 years!” Mendes wrote in the caption. “And maybe it didn’t break the box office but it broke sooo many other records. I’m extra proud of this one.”

The Place Beyond the Pines actress, who shares two daughters with Gosling, went on to jokingly explain why she was OK with her husband kissing his co-star and onscreen love interest Blunt in the movie.

“The proof is in my post-I don’t usually post pics of my man kissing a babe but Emily Blunt is just that damn good in it. THEY’RE that damn good in it,” she wrote. “Viva el fall guy!”

In the film, Gosling plays down-and-out stuntman Colt Seavers who must find the missing lead actor in his ex-girlfriend Jody Moreno’s (Blunt) blockbuster film. The Fall Guy kicked off the summer movie season at No. 1 with $28.5 million at the box office.

Last month, Blunt, who is married to John Krasinski, shared on The Howard Stern Show that she has “absolutely” wanted to throw up while kissing a co-star on camera before. “I wouldn’t say it’s sort of extreme loathing, but I’ve definitely not enjoyed some of it,” she said.

However, she added that she enjoyed getting the chance to work alongside Gosling on a project.

“I love his wife, Eva,” Blunt said. “I love their children, and I feel like I’m very lucky to be friends with a gem of a person like him.”
