Senator John Fetterman recently mocked Lauren Boebert’s infamous theater fondling after responding to a tweet by Fox News. However, not everyone understood the meaning of his ‘grabbing the hog’ remark.
Colorado Rep. Lauren Boebert made the news recently after security footage captured her ‘fondling’ a date during a touring production performance of the musical Beetlejuice. The representative and her date were escorted out of the performance, and now Sen. John Fetterman has mocked the congresswoman online.
John Fetterman mocks Lauren Boebert’s theater fondling
The Pennsylvania Democrat made the comment initially responding to a Fox News article about the Senate dropping its dress code requirement.
“People are furious after the Senate dropped its dress code requirement — and they’re saying there is only one lawmaker to blame,” the Fox News account wrote on Twitter, along with a photo of the Fetterman.
Conservatives have reportedly been critical of the change, ‘criticizing Fetterman, who has routinely worn gym shorts and hoodies in the building.’
Fetterman responded to the Fox News post by mocking Lauren Boebert. “I figure if I take up vaping and grabbing the hog during a live musical, they’ll make me a folk hero,” he joked.
‘Grabbing the hog’ meaning explored following Fetterman’s tweet
Fetterman’s tweet was seen over 10 million times, with many of the comments lauding the Senator for his blunt response.
‘An active senator posted a tweet that includes the phrase “grabbing the hog” what a time to be alive,’ one person replied.
However, not everyone knew what the actual meaning of ‘grabbing the hog’ was.
A ‘hog’ is essentially a slang term for a large male penis. ‘Grabbing the hog’ therefore refers to Boebert’s fondling antics in the theater where she and her date got rather handsy with each other.
Footage caught on security footage reportedly showed Boebert grabbing her date’s privates.

In a viral clip first obtained by 9News, Boebert appeared to have her chest groped and grab the crotch of her date during a family-friendly performance of Beetlejuice when it stopped in Denver on September 10.
The representative was originally accused of laughing, singing, vaping and picture-taking during the performance, which led to her and her date being escorted out of the show.
However, security footage later showed the pair were also getting rather touchy-feely with one another.
Boebert’s behavior received a backlash, with critics arguing that it was not appropriate for a sitting member of Congress.
