I played in red shirts my whole career, pretty much, at CSKA Sofia, Bayer Leverkusen, Manchester United and Monaco.
But at Tottenham we had a brown and gold third kit and I really fancied it, we looked so cool and I said, ‘We need to play in this all the time.’
Spurs introduced me to the Premier League and I have happy memories at White Hart Lane. Martin Jol was the coach and he trusted me completely.
We had some crazy games, man… 4-3, 6-4, I kept thinking, ‘What the heck is going on here?’. We were just trying to entertain and I can see that again with Ange Postecoglou now, scoring late, making the fans go crazy. I am happy to see Spurs are back.
I loved playing with Robbie Keane, we made each other better players. We managed to win the League Cup, too!
