Colorado football coachDeion Sanders has revealed the exact moment in which he knew that certain players in his team were fully committed to the plan.

His first year as the head coach at Colorado has been very mixed, and can be viewed in two different ways.

Deion Sanders got Shedeur Sanders ambushed in public in crazy recruiting story

He has made the team much better given they had a horrible 1-11 record in 2022, but they have finished 2023 with a 4-8 record after starting the year with a 3-0 record.

Arguably the team’s biggest issue was its inability to win at the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball.

The offensive line struggled to protect quarterback – and Deion‘s son – Shedeur Sanders, while the defensive line couldn’t generate consistent pressure on opposing QBs.

Sanders reveals a key moment

Sanders was on the Stephen A.Smith program on Friday and he shared a story about the linemen going to dinner with Shedeur and other star players.

“A gentleman came over from within the crowd, came over and got smart with Shedeur and said things that were derogatory about me,” Deion said.

“Now, Shedeur, he’s a walk-away (person). Shedeur ain’t gonna do nothing. Shilo (Sanders) would’ve swung. Shilo‘s different. He would’ve swung. That’s why God knew who to put in that situation.

“But before Shedeur could even re-address the gentleman, his linemen – on a recruiting visit – came over there and was about to handle business. They had to be stopped, and they hadn’t even committed yet. So, that lets you know where this thing is going. Then, they went on to commit.”
