Ways to Find Your Roku Remote If It Gets Lost

If you lose your Roku remote, you can grab it easily by following one of the following methods.

  • Using Voice Commands.
  • Using the Roku App
  • Through the Remote Finder Button.

To find the remote using these methods, you should have previously paired your Roku remote to your Roku device.

How to Find Your Roku Remote Using Voice Commands

Use voice commands like Roku Voice Remote Pro to find your Roku remotes. If your Roku remote has inbuilt voice support, you can locate your Roku remote by using this method, but the thing is, you should have enabled the hands-free voice function on your Roku TV.

1. Now, in a clear voice, say Hey, Roku, where’s my remote?

2. You should hear a beep sound from your remote.

3. If your remote didn’t answer your call, repeat it clearly.

Once the remote grabs your voice, it will respond with a beeping sound, lasting for about a minute. You can find where your remote has been left by hearing the sound emitted from your remote. After you pick up the remote, you can press any button to stop the beeping sound.

Note: The remote will not respond with a beep sound if its batteries are low or completely drained or if it is out of the zone of your wireless network.

How to Find Your Roku Remote Using the Roku App

It is also possible to find the Roku remote using the Roku app. To start, connect your Smartphone and Roku device to the same WiFi.

1. Download The Roku App on your Android or iOS device.

2. Open the Roku app and Click on the Devices menu.

3. Select your Roku device from the available devices shown on your smartphone.

4. Tap the Vertical Three Dots icon near the connected Roku device to bring up more options.

5. Turn on the remote by tapping on the Remote icon.

6. Now, using the app as your Roku remote, navigate through your Roku device and select Settings.

7. Under settings, choose the Remotes and Devices option.

8. Tap on Set up the remote for TV control and select the Find remote option.

9. Now move to your Roku app, select the Microphone icon, and say Hey, Roku, find my remote.

10. When you say this, your remote will emit a beep sound.

With the sound, you can easily locate your remote. Once you find your remote, press any button on it to stop the beeping sound.

Find Your Roku Remote Using Remote Finder Button

Some Roku devices have a special button to find the lost Roku remote. Devices like Roku Ultra have an external button on the player’s side or at the top. If your Roku remote has a voice control function or has a built-in speaker, then there is an increased chance of the presence of a remote Finder button.

All Smart TVs running on Roku OS come with the remote finder option, but the steps to find the Roku remote differ for each model. Let’s see them one by one. To activate the remote finder, you need to press the external buttons on the back panel or side of your Roku TV.
