The main perk of being a beauty editor is—hands down—all the products I get to try. Over the years, I’ve found a few products that—without batting an eye—I’d stack up in my collection and be 100 percent stingy about. We’re talking ones I refuse to share with my mom, friends, or sister (sorry), and Hero Cosmetics pimple patches are one of them. I have acne-prone skin, and when you’re dealing with a breakout, you don’t want to gamble with a lotion or spot treatment that won’t work.

These little patches have never let me down. Apply them to a clean face and carry on with your day or night. When you wake up, like magic, the pimple is gone. The trick is in the hydrocolloid, which gently traps gunk (seriously, your patch will turn white as it sops up all the puss from your whitehead—gross but cool). So, you don’t have to worry about squeezing your pimple and leaving your skin red or inflamed (which can lead to other problems like hyperpigmentation).

Those who get it get it, and Alix Earle gets it. The influencer, who has spoken openly about having acne, is the brand’s first global ambassador and is helping usher in a new launch for the pimple-obsessed: Mighty Patch Mini Invisible+ ($14), a thinner, tinnier version of the original. “Acne is something I have struggled with my whole life. I discovered Mighty Patch in the past few years and immediately fell in love with the results they gave me,” Earle told us. “The Hero Invisible minis are great for everyday use, especially on the go. I often wear the original pimple patches overnight in the comfort of my home, but the minis are great to wear out because they’re so small and thin. They’re perfect for covering blemishes during the day.”

The new mini patches, a convenient addition to your skincare routine, measure just 10mm across, so 20 percent smaller than the original (12mm), which are already pretty undetectable, IMO. However, these are even more invisible, so you don’t have to feel paranoid about wearing patches out of the house or in photos. They’re also clutch for those whiteheads that pop up in annoying areas like the back or arms (especially during tank top season when you’re showing more skin). They’re also available to shop now, so see ya later, pimples.
