Former Scotland captain Stuart Hogg found himself in the middle of a boozy family bust-up at his brother’s house on New Year’s Day.
The ex-British and Irish Lions ace, who was awarded an MBE last month, had spent the Bank Holiday Monday at the races with his brother Graham, their parents and his new partner who has been dubbed the ‘world’s sexiest jockey’.
However, it’s understood that things got out of control back at Graham’s house in Hawick, Roxburghshire, and police officers had to attend to the property at around 9pm.
It follows a tumultuous few months for Hogg who split from his wife Gillian last year and quickly entered into a relationship with former flat jockey and TV host Leonna Mayor, 32.
The pair have been seen flaunting their new relationship online by posing for selfies on spa weekends – but it’s understood that Hogg left his brother’s home without Ms Mayor following the family bust-up.

A source told The Sun that the family day out had got ‘very messy’ and led to Hogg deleting his Instagram account. Meanwhile his brother deleted all the pictures from the day out and set his account to private.
‘What started as a family day out at the races ended with the police being called. It was all very messy,’ the source said.
They added: ‘It’s such a shame after he ended the year on a high with his MBE award.’
Following the day out, Hogg had posted on Instagram: ‘Starting the New Year with the best,’ adding ‘Huge thank you to @musselburghracecourse for looking after my family today. We had a terrific day.’
A Police Scotland spokesperson told MailOnline: ‘Around 9pm on Monday, 1 January, 2024, police were called to a report of a disturbance at a property in Heronhill Bank, Hawick.
‘Officers attended and no criminality was established.’
Mail Sport has contacted Hogg’s representatives for comment.
Hogg was awarded the MBE in the New Year’s Honours list for services to rugby following an outstanding playing career.
The full-back won 100 caps for Scotland before retiring ahead of last year’s World Cup, while he was also selected for three British & Irish Lions tours.

Hogg, Scotland’s all-time leading try scorer, announced his retirement from the sport with immediate effect last July amid struggles with fitness.
His romance with Ms Mayor emerged just days after his wife of seven years, Gillian Smith, gave birth to their fourth child in November.
A source told MailOnline at the time that Gillian was ‘completely blindsided by this’, adding: ‘She is devastated and heartbroken at the end of her marriage. Despite all of this she still loved Stuart.
‘They had been together for seven years, so it is very hard for her to process what is happening. Emotionally, she is all over the place.’
The friend went on: ‘She’s broken into a million pieces. Having their fourth child was supposed to be a happy time for them as a family, but instead her life has been torn apart.’

Stuart posted this cryptic Instagram post after reports emerged of his new relationship which said: ‘Stop being afraid of what could go wrong and start being excited about what could go right.’

Neighbours of the couple who lived in Hawick, Scotland, said that rumours circulated that Stuart and Gillian had separated some weeks ago after he was rarely seen at the family home.
One said: ‘Gillian is a lovely woman and they seemed to be the perfect couple.
‘But we had a funny feeling something was up because he hadn’t been here for a while. And when we asked, Gillian said he was away working on stuff.
‘But even at that point, it was a bit odd because she was pregnant, so surely he would have wanted to have been here as much as possible for her.
‘He’s very silly and selfish doing this.’
Hogg’s new lover Leonna won 32 races between 2009 and 2013 but retired following an ankle injury.
She was dubbed the ‘world’s sexiest jockey’ when she posed in her underwear for a Zoo magazine shoot in 2013.
Since her competitive racing career ended, Leonna has turned to punditry, working for the likes of Sky Sports and ITV.
