The Damian Lillard saga has been resolved, so now attention is turning to James Harden and his situation with the Philadelphia 76ers.

The 34-year-old point guard has long been pushing for a move away from Philadelphia and has now failed to show up for the traditional pre-season Media Day.

James Harden says it’s too late to repair relationship with the SixersParker Johnson

That’s according to Adrian Wojnarowski and Shams Charania, with the former adding that Harden could be fined by the NBA.

Harden could be subject to a fine for missing Media Day,” he reported, while there is also a chance of a team suspension.

What is James Harden’s situation?

This is simply the latest development in the Harden soap opera. First came the statements against Daryl Morey, the Sixers’ director of operations, with whom he coincided in Houston, accusing him of being a liar.

After that, it seemed that the waters had calmed down, but he has once again expressed his desire to leave Philadelphia.

Lillard‘s trade to the Milwaukee Bucks and the subsequent Jrue Holiday and Kristaps Porzingis moves to Boston mean that the Eastern Conference is more competitive than ever.

The 76ers added Kelly Oubre as a weapon off the bench, but they’re aiming for more.

They could obtain something for Harden, but there isn’t much of a concrete offering yet, even if the Chicago BullsDeMar DeRozan or Zach LaVine have been mentioned.

A move seems to be a long way off, but Harden continues to try to force his way out.
