The exciting (hopefully) clash between Collingwood and Hawthorn is underway at Adelaide Oval.

Each side have notched up another goal this final quarter, the Saints through Rowan Marshall and the Tigers through Tyler Sonsie.

It means the lead remains with St Kilda – eight points – with less than ten minutes left in the game.

The Magpies have kicked the opening two goals of the game, first through Lachie Schultz, then Jordan De Goey, who is already having a huge impact on the game with six touches.

A vastly improved thirst for the contest and smarter delivery has masterminded St Kilda’s stunning recovery from a 22-point half-time deficit into an eight-point three-quarter-time lead.

The Saints looked a different team after the main break, jumping out of the blocks by dominating at ground level, creating turnovers and generating repeat entries.

Unlike in the opening half when they blazed repeatedly and predictably into Tiger hands, St Kilda lowered their eyes and successfully chewed into the deficit.

Shai Bolton stretched his personal tally to four with another beauty from the south-western pocket but Richmond had no answers for Jack Steele who willed the Saints into a position of strength.

While the fascinating arm wrestle between Richmond and St Kilda’s is to play out the final quarter at Norwood Oval, Collingwood and Hawthorn have kicked things off across town at Adelaide Oval.

So, far Hawthorn have just the one behind on the board, eight minutes in.

Jack Higgins put on the jets and blazed towards goal, burning off his opponents, to take a grab and boot the ball onto the street.

It was a great transition from St Kilda, from deep inside their defensive, to reward them with an 8-point lead at three-quarter time.

Saints booted six goals to two that term to turn the game on its head and set the stage for a tantalising final quarter.

Dustin Martin has been huge for the Tigers (25 touches), while Saints skipper Jack Steele has been instrumental (24 touches) for his side. And Shai Bolton of course starring with four goals so far.

Shai Bolton has continued to add to his highlight reel with his fourth goal of the afternoon. He took a huge contested mark, springing high into the air, before finishing it off.

A huge snap from the boundary from big man Max King put the Saints back in front – by a point. Then Mitch Owens opened up the margin to seven points with his own impressive goal on the run.

St Kilda have kicked five to one this third quarter and are moving the ball through the middle of ground and getting their main offenders involved.

Saints lead by 7.

After a St Kilda behind, the scores were briefly level, before Richmond’s Shai Bolton’s kicked his third of the day.

Richmond are back in front with a straight kick and we’ve got an interesting game on our hands. It’s a real arm wrestling unfolding.

The game at Norwood Oval has turned on its head with St Kilda kicking three goals to none in this third quarter to close the gap to just one point.

The goals have come from Anthony Caminiti, Darcy Wilson and Tim Membrey as the Saints have started to win the territory and take control.
