Crystal Palace fans were left furious with Daniel Munoz after he exchanged shirts with Erling Haaland at half-time.

The Eagles stretched their winless run to five matches after being defeated 4-2 by Manchester City in Saturday’s early kick-off.

Jean-Philippe Mateta had given Palace the lead before City responded with goals by Kevin De Bruyne, Rico Lewis and Erling Haaland.

With the scored tied 1-1 at the break, Munoz approached Haaland for his shirt and the Norwegian approved his request as they headed into the tunnel.

Palace fans made their feelings known as they booed the Colombian defender off the pitch.

The final score will not have helped Munoz to justify his decision to swap, after the Norwegian player had removed his own top first.

One fan wrote: ‘Yeah don’t like that at all. Will probably be after Foden’s at full-time.’

Another added: ‘Seeing that Munoz was signed less than 3 months ago from Genk, it’s not a great first impression from the full back.’

Two others were keen on only one Irishman’s opinion on the move, with one asking ‘I only want to know what Roy Keane thinks about this?’ and a fourth adding: ‘Roy Keane won’t like that.’

One questioned why he couldn’t wait for full time, and called Munoz a ‘finished player’, while another asked ‘Why couldn’t they do it in the tunnel?’.
