Malik JonMikal Beasley is an American professional basketball player for the Utah Jazz of the NBA. He was born on November 26, 1996. He went to Saint Francis School in Alpharetta, Georgia, and played basketball for the Florida State Seminoles for one season in college.
The Denver Nuggets picked Beasley with the 19th pick in the NBA draft in 2016. He played for the Nuggets for three and a half years before being traded to the Minnesota Timberwolves. Midway through 2021, Beasley had served 78 days of a 120-day jail sentence for a case in which he showed a gun.

Beasley and Yao met in 2018 and got married in August 2020. In November 2020, when the NBA player was seen holding hands with Larsa Pippen, the ex-wife of legendary Bulls player Scottie Pippen, at a mall in Miami, they almost broke up.
After pictures of Beasley and Pippen went viral, Beasley’s 23-year-old wife posted on Instagram, “I’ve always been true to who I am, and God has never let me down. One way or another, the truth always comes out…” Yao added, “Wow… I don’t know this man at all… This is crazy, you guys. I’m seeing it for the first time, just like you.”
Yao asked for a divorce in December of that year, and later, through her lawyers, she said that Beasley’s relationship with Pippen made him leave “his family behind.” Us Weekly said at the time that Pippen and Beasley would break up in April 2021.

Montana Helena Klein Yao was born in 1997 in Newport Beach, California. She went to high school in Pasadena, and in 2015 she graduated from Malibu High.
