Helmut Marko is making controversy again, this time after Checo Perez has become an object of criticism of the Red Bull advisor. In an interview for Sport & Talk on Servus TV, the Red Bull technical advisor spoke of the mental strength of his driver, although the comment was out of place, because neither is Perez “South American” nor the mentality of a driver varies according to the place where he was born. Helmut stated that “Checo is South American and therefore his head is not as focused as Max Verstappen‘s or Sebastian Vettel‘s; but racing is his forte and he had a very good pace”.
