EUROPE is not ready for a devastating escalation of war from Vladimir Putin, warns Poland’s Prime Minister.

Donald Tusk sent out a chilling message saying Europe has already entered a “pre-war era” worryingly similar to 1939 as Hitler prepared to invade Poland and spark World War Two.

Poland’s leader made it clear that urgent action must be taken soon to prevent any further chaos breaking out.

Stating that the next two years are crucial for the future of the entire continent.

His frightening prediction stated if Russia was to come out of the war victorious then the whole of Europe should begin to seriously worry about what Putin does next.

As the veteran politician warned “literally any scenario is possible” when it comes to Mad Vlad and his Kremlin cronies.

I don’t want to scare anyone, but war is no longer a concept from the past. It’s real and it started over two years ago

Donald TuskPoland’s PM

Tusk told media: “We are living in the most critical moment since the end of the Second World War.”

“I know it sounds devastating, especially to people of the younger generation, but we have to mentally get used to the arrival of a new era. The pre-war era.

“I don’t want to scare anyone, but war is no longer a concept from the past.

“It’s real and it started over two years ago.”

The grave fears over a potential escalation of war come as Putin launched a “barbaric” wave of missiles and drones at Ukraine today.

Some 99 missiles and kamikaze drones were fired at western and central Ukraine in an intense attack which caused significant damage.

Nato warplanes scrambled as Putin blasts Ukraine with ‘barbaric’ wave of missiles and drones in ‘vile’ Easter onslaught

A total of 58 of them were shot down by Ukrainian forces including four Iskander-M missiles.

Fragments of drones have been found in Romania on a farm near the border with Ukraine, the defence ministry reported.

Putin’s forces have deliberately targeted Ukrainian power plants and civilian infrastructure, leaving many without electricity.

Power stations were hit in Stryi, Lviv region, and Burshtyn, Ivano-Frankivsk region, both in the direction of NATO and EU state Poland.

Russia is stepping up its vile attacks on Ukraine’s cities and citizens this Easter

British ambassador Martin Harris said: “Russia is stepping up its vile attacks on Ukraine’s cities and citizens this Easter.

“My Good Friday began in the bunker.”

He also appealed to world leaders such as Rishi Sunak to do as much as possible to help out Ukraine to stop Russia winning.

Tusk has constantly called for urgent military aid for Ukraine even posting on his social media accounts “less talk, more ammunition”.

After the brutal Russian airstrikes on Friday, US ambassador to Ukraine, Bridget A Brink pleaded for more military support to be greenlit.

She said: “All night, Russia has ruthlessly launched missiles & drones against Ukraine’s energy infrastructure – now all of Ukraine is under air alert,” she posted during the bombardment.

“Russia’s barbaric effort to take the power out for millions of men, women, and children continues unchecked.

“Our assistance is needed now.”

Tusk has now asked Europe to also think about bolstering their own defences in order to be a more attractive partner to the US.

He argued Europe would be a much more attractive option to support if each country had a more self-sufficient military.

The US is believed to be a crucial ally to Europe as they have constantly condemned Putin for the invasion of Ukraine.

PUTIN’S PUSH TOWARDS WW3

Tusk’s final warning saw him note that Russia has stepped up it’s onslaught on Ukraine in recent weeks.

This has led to serious worries over World War Three.

Last week, a 57-missile bombardment plus a drone attack hammered critical infrastructure in Kyiv and the western Ukrainian region of Lviv.

This was considered one of the biggest set of attacks since the war entered its third year.

Putin’s feared army chief sent out a chilling warning to the West saying the risk of WW3 is “significantly” skyrocketing closer to reality, earlier this month.

Colonel-General Vladimir Zarudnitsky said the devastating fighting in Ukraine could soon spill over into Europe and ignite a terrifying global conflict.

His haunting warnings aren’t the first time the idea of a WW3-style escalation has been mentioned as a possibility by senior Russian officials.

A military report leaked in January detailed Russia’s top tyrant Putin’s possible “path to conflict” to dominate much of Europe.

The ten point plan started last month and if all goes the Kremlin’s way could end up as a full scale global war as soon as 2025.

The final step could see 500,000 Russian and Nato troops facing off with each other at the Suwalki Gap – bringing the world to the edge of World War Three.

Putin rattled his nuclear sabre in a chilling threat to the West during a rambling two-and-a-half-hour “state of the nation” speech.

The deranged despot – who looked sickly and unsteady – warned Nato not to intervene in Ukraine or face the wrath of his nuclear arsenal.

He also bragged how his unstoppable nuclear rocket Sarmat – known as Satan-2 – had been delivered to Russian forces.

The ageing Russian ruler appeared to be referencing French president Emmanuel Macron‘s statements that he could not rule out Nato troops being sent to Ukraine – claims that other alliance allies quickly rebuffed.

During his explosive remarks, Putin warned that Western nations “must realise we also have weapons that can hit targets on their territory.”

“All this really threatens a conflict with the use of nuclear weapons and the destruction of civilisation. Don’t they get that?”

The tyrant then insisted that the consequences would be “tragic” and brandished the threat of his nuclear rocket Sarmat – known as Satan-2.

Putin also boasted about about how his “strategic nuclear forces are in a state of full readiness for guaranteed use.”

HOW TO STOP RUSSIA

Ivanna Klympush-Tsintsadze told The Sun that for Ukraine to defeat Putin, Russia needs to be “weakened”, “isolated” and “banished”.

She said: “For Putin, any kind of negotiation is, ‘give me the land’.

“He’s not going to give it back. Any kind of peace deal is just to confirm that Ukrainians do not exist.

“For Putin, it’s about subjugating the country by force and redrawing the borders.”

The former journalist-turned-politician thinks the “only outcome” from the Ukraine war is for the world to unite and “defeat the Russian federation”.

“I really think that this is about an already ongoing third World War,” she warned.

“It’s already the day before yesterday when action had to be taken.”

Effective action against Putin, she explained, means breaking down Russia’s empire like Nazi Germany after World War Two.
