Dr Robertson said WA hotel quarantine workers would wear both masks and eyewear to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
He said cleaners already wore this personal protective equipment.
Dr Robertson said security companies were also made aware that if someone calls in sick that “the standard protocol should be that they encourage them to get tested”, regardless of their symptoms.
Hotel quarantine workers are now also undergoing saliva tests on top of nasal swabs. This has also been extended to airport staff.
Airflow studies are also underway.
