A video showing a group of ducks waddling across the road in Sheffield has been shared on social media – only for them to be found dead a few days later.

The video, filmed in the Burngreave area of the city , showed a group of five ducks waddling across the road. The second half of the video then cut to an image of four of the ducks lying dead in the road – reportedly just a few days after the initial clip was filmed.

The video was posted on Facebook by Sheffield Online with the caption: “Rare moment of a group of ducks wandering round Burngreave – only for a few days later to find them dead.”

People were quick to comment that they had been left feeling “heartbroken” by the news and branded the people responsible “horrible”. Adele Mayfield commented: “What kind of sick individual could do that” and Jamie Burgin said: “So very sad! Horrible people to do such a thing!”

Georgia-lauren Grant wrote: “There are some sick, horrible people out there who think it’s alright to do that… bless them poor little ducks.” Lindsey Barber added: “This is awful poor babies,” and Julie Holmes agreed: “Absolutely awful/ poor ducks”

Claire Blakley commented: “Poor little things breaks our hearts,” and Jo Louise said: “Heartbroken” Margaret Saccomando simply said: “Shocking,” while Warren Andrews added: “That’s horrible that.” South Yorkshire Police have been approached for comment.
