Gypsy Rose Blanchard Spotted for the First Time Since Nose Job: ‘Jump Scare’

Gypsy Rose Blanchard, renowned for her tumultuous life narrative involving the murder of her mom, Dee Dee, recently made a public appearance a few days after undergoing a nose job.

Blanchard’s presence was noted at a Dollar General store in Cut Off, Louisiana, where she exhibited signs of her ongoing recovery following her rhinoplasty procedure.

Images shared by TMZ from her outing portray the removal of most of the post-surgical cast, with only a minor bandage lingering on her nose. These visuals spotlight her evolving side profile, hinting at a promising outcome post-surgery.

Having undergone plastic surgery on April 5, 2024, Gypsy Rose Blanchard has exhibited remarkable progress in her healing journey. Initially depicted with extensive bandages in a post-surgery self-portrait, her swift recuperation is now evident with minimal bandaging.

The surgical intervention, which incurred a cost of $5,000, appears to yield favorable results, potentially representing a worthwhile investment. Even so, her appearance sparked comments from social media users.

One user speculated that Blanchard had a nose job because “She looks so much like her mother she probably don’t want to be reminded since she did what she did.”

However, when Blanchard first opened up about her desire to have a nose job, she only stated that it would be part of her personal transformation journey.

Blanchard’s close friend, Nadiya Vizier, also revealed her intentions, “The main thing is that she wanted a more feminine looking nose. She just wants to fix it up and give it a more feminine look.”

One online user also gave their view about Blanchard’s new appearance, noting that it could trigger a “jump scare.” Another person accused Blanchard of hypocrisy for seeking attention, saying, “For someone who said she wants privacy, she sure is quick to call tmz about her life.”

This user was referring to an interview where Blanchard expressed that social media had become a “roadway to hell” for her. So, the 32-year-old was reevaluating her presence on these platforms.

She stated, “With the public scrutiny as bad as it is, I just don’t want to live my life under a microscope. So I created a private Instagram, and I got it verified. And I had absolutely no doubts or trouble with deleting that public one.”

Despite others questioning her decision to forsake such a large following, she responded, “That’s not real life.” She also reflected on her earlier anticipation of using social media, recalling how during her incarceration, she eagerly awaited the chance to share selfies and engage online.

Blanchard quickly realized that the public attention from her online presence was not what she wanted. This prompted her to adopt a more private and controlled approach to social media.

In addition to her physical changes, Blanchard’s personal affairs have garnered considerable attention. She is currently separated from her husband of nearly two years, Ryan Anderson, who is featured in her upcoming docuseries, “Gypsy Rose: Life After Lock Up”.

Due to this separation, recent sightings alongside her former fiancé, Ken Urker as they got matching tattoos have sparked speculation, although both parties have clarified that they presently maintain a platonic relationship.

Such events in Blanchard’s sphere, including pregnancy rumors, continue to intrigue fans. People feel like Blanchard is doing a lot after getting out of prison but her friend, Vizier insists that, “people need to let her live, let her experience, if they know that she’s doing something good or wrong, let her experience that. Let her learn from it.”

Blanchard is now free to live her life after enduring years of abuse and manipulation by her mother, Dee Dee. Her mom falsely claimed she had many medical conditions and disabilities. She is a victim of Munchausen syndrome by proxy.

Dee Dee subjected her perfectly healthy daughter to unnecessary medical treatments, surgeries, and medications. She isolated Blanchard from the outside world, closely monitoring every move. She also portrayed her as severely disabled to gain sympathy and financial assistance.

In June 2015, Blanchard, then 23 years old, conspired with her then-boyfriend, Nicholas Godejohn, to murder her mother. She felt trapped and desperate to escape her mother’s control, and the pair believed that the only way to achieve freedom was by killing Dee Dee.

Godejohn stabbed Dee Dee to death in her home while Blanchard hid in the bathroom. However, after Dee Dee died Blanchard posted on her and her mom’s Facebook account, writing that her mother was dead, having been murdered.

Blanchard admitted in interviews that she hoped her Facebook post would lead to the discovery of her mother’s body. This post alerted authorities and even though Blanchard and her ex-boyfriend fled to Godejohn’s home in Wisconsin they were apprehended days later.

Godejohn is still serving a life sentence with no chance of parole at the Potosi Correctional Center. As for Blanchard, after her release from prison, she said she is ready to expand every facet of her new life.

Just a month after her early release from prison, Blanchard, as we previously reported, surprised her social media followers with a stunning new haircut showcased in a weekend post.

Besides flaunting her revamped locks, Gypsy shared a slideshow on January 28, 2024, capturing the moment she chopped off several inches of her hair for a meaningful cause.

Blanchard showcased her freshly trimmed locks on her now-deleted Instagram and TikTok. She flaunted her new look, accompanied by a snapshot of eight inches of hair she cut off for a cause dear to her heart.

She captioned the posts, “It’s never too late [to] start reinventing yourself, even if it is something subtle like a new hairstyle. 🩷 To all the girls, boys, and [non-binary]…Enjoy life, express yourself in whatever creative ways [make] you happy. Life is too short to hide your beauty. Let the world see you shine!⭐️”

In a subsequent update, Blanchard, who spent seven years incarcerated following a 2016 guilty plea for the second-degree murder of her mother used the occasion to enlighten her followers about the significance of hair donation.

In a video message, she expressed her long-standing desire to contribute her hair to a charity creating wigs for individuals facing hair loss, particularly those undergoing cancer treatments.

Gypsy disclosed her plan to send her hair to “The Great Cut,” a charity dedicated to providing hair replacements for children dealing with medical-related hair loss.

Addressing her history of hair loss due to Munchausen Syndrome by Proxy, Gypsy shared her challenging journey and advocated for hair donation.

Reflecting on her childhood experiences, including a falsified cancer diagnosis and head shaving by her mother, she empathetically urged her social media followers to consider donating their hair.

Gypsy opened up about the emotional impact of her own hair loss, “For me, not having hair was really hard on my self-esteem. So, I just want to do something to help other people that are going through issues with hair loss because I know the only time that I ever felt beautiful is when I was wearing a wig.”

Sharing a photo of herself without hair, she emphasized the significance of supporting those facing similar challenges.

Concluding the video on a positive note, Blanchard, who was released early from a ten-year prison sentence in December 2023, seized the moment to loosen her hair from a ponytail, exclaiming, “I think it looks kinda cute.”
