Masters 2024 final round LIVE: Father-to-be Scheffler leads; Davis, Smith best-placed Australians

The final round is well and truly underway at Augusta National.

The final group – featuring world No.1 and 2022 champion Scottie Scheffler alongside Collin Morikawa, chasing the third leg of a potential grand slam – have just teed off on the opening hole.

Cameron Smith and Cameron Davis have been out on the course for a bit less than an hour and will need to get moving if they are to have any chance.

Davis started the day five shots behind Scheffler, while Smith was one further back.

But there’s great news for the Australians with Smith making a chip-in eagle from a greenside bunker on the second hole to move to three-under for the tournament, four shots shy of Scheffler.

Can it be his day to finally slip on the green jacket after some near misses in the past?

The news not so good for Davis, who made bogey on his opening hole and is back to one-under for the tournament.
