Chicago Bulls legend and Basketball Hall of Famer Dennis Rodman is set to make his return to the United Center on Saturday when the 62-year-old makes a shock debut with All Elite Wrestling.
Rodman’s stint in Chicago saw him win three straight NBA titles alongside Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen and cement himself as one of the town’s most iconic figures.
AEW – which is led by Tony Khan – posted to X, formerly known as Twitter, that Rodman will appear during this weekend’s episode of AEW Collison as his first appearance in the squared circle since 2008.
Rodman has previously appeared in WCW where he wrestled several matches after debuting as ‘The Worm’ and aligning himself with Hulk Hogan and the nWo between 1997 and 1999. A famous incident in 1998 saw Rodman infamously miss a practice to appear on an episode of WCW Nitro.
He also notably appeared on Hulk Hogan’s Celebrity Championship Wrestling reality show in 2008 and has not been involved in professional wrestling since.

AEW announced the surprising appearance on social media ahead of this weekend’s shows
Earlier in the week it was also announced that Rodman was also set to appear at the Starrcast VI convention over the weekend, which will be taking place in Chicago in conjunction with Sunday’s AEW ‘All Out’ pay-per-view.
There is no word yet on whether Rodman will appear during the pay-per-view, however that information may become clear during his appearance on Saturday’s episode of Collison.
AEW is currently in the midst of a jam-packed stretch for the company included record setting attendance numbers after more than 81,000 people attended last weekend’s ‘All In’ pay-per-view.
The company is also dealing with the ramifications of a physical confrontation backstage between CM Punk and Jack Perry that may be causing last minute changes to upcoming All Out and Collison shows, potentially including Rodman’s appearance.

Punk has been at the center of several controversies during his time with the company including last year’s ‘Brawl Out’ incident and recent reports that he has had several superstars sent home from Collison amid backstage tensions.
Rodman spent 14 years in the NBA during his Hall of Fame career that saw him enjoy successful stints with the Detroit Pistons, San Antonio Spurs, Los Angeles Lakers, Dallas Mavericks, and of course the Bulls.
He averaged 7.3 points and 13.1 rebounds and collected a long list of individual awards for defense and rebounding.
Along with the three consecutive NBA Finals victories he recorded in Chicago, Rodman also won two NBA championships during his time with Detroit.
