January 2023: The Jitters of a First Date. In August of the same year, Kelsea shares a nostalgic video on TikTok. It’s a clip of her getting ready for her first official date with Chase on January 7, 2023.
“Happy weekend,” she captions the post. She adds, “Here’s a vid I shot and sent to my bestie before my first date with Chase.” The video is set to her song “How Do I Do This.” It’s a tune about the trials of going on a first date after a long time.
In the video, Kelsea is seen modeling her outfit. “Here’s the look, complete with the boots,” she says, checking herself out in a full-length mirror. She spins around to show off her half-up, half-down hairstyle. “Got the hair clip in,” she adds, “trying to channel that cool girl vibe.”
She keeps talking to an off-screen friend. “He’s picking me up. We’re hitting a sushi place. I’ll ring you tomorrow for a full update,” she explains. She takes a deep breath, raises an arm and finger in the air, and finally says, “I can do this. I can do this.”
After a little dance, she declares, “It’s just a date. You just go, eat food, and talk about stuff, OK?”
